I suppose this is a shout out post!
About what?
I saw Hannah Tan! Real person! Haha… nothing to fancy actually. I bet Penangites must be very proud of her. Just as I did where Ipoh have Micheal Wong, Cheah Soon Kit, Michelle Yeoh, Patrick Teoh and Lat the comic artist. All from IPOH! Heh! I think I still very proud of them. Haha. Well, CNY is drawing close. My Ipoh’s spirit will flame even more furious!
Seeing the rise of a new generation in my own country, is really stirring the hope I’ve long lost. I use to be saddening by Malaysian's mediocre thinking. Lack of creativity. Frustrating traffic system. Irreverent education system… whatever. Sometime I just think I might just go somewhere else. But success of Tony Fernandes, Jimmy Choo, churches like CHC is arising, I meet some great American businessmen Terry Thoren, Chuck Powers, and legendary RPG designer Chris Avellone. I start to believe in something big inside is possible in this life time… in Malaysia. Our fathers have done their part. Now is our hours. Time for our generation to rise and do something worth the pages of our children’s history book.
Back to Penang. I'm blessed to know a few wonderful friends few months back. I can’t explain how I feel, but I do find what makes Penang a Penang. There is something more than the weather to make who they are. Their food hunting instinct is well-trained by local food stalls and shops manifested throughout the island. To know them, I have tasted their food, living with them, see what they see, laugh like they do. Somehow I wonder how those small roads with lots of turning makes their people loves driving fast? Haha... not all of them, just some particular ones.
I saw this Hannah’s website where she is singing Eternal Flame A cappella. Such a classic hit. I recalled those tourism brochure featuring Penang Bridge and Batu Ferringi I saw a decade ago. Nice memories~

Ming,
Weii~! Even if it's true, but don't point it out in the public mah~!
Erin,
Haha~ See that we have another celebrity in our church now. Its getting crowded soon. I believe it will have more and more to come. Malaysia is different than those years in the past right now. Its certainly catching up. I was thinking to do what Peter Jackson is doing in NZ. You just gotta believe in your home... sometimes.
Just want to thank you for loving Penang. that's really a great place. ^_^
Eh eh eh! Who say Penangites drive fast? We're the kindest, most "zhengkeng" (Hokkien) drivers on the planet!
*grin*
Ming drives too fast.
Haha, Penang is a great place. I love to visit again.

Driving in Penang is different tho. US road is on the right side~ U better not confuse urself later. But, how much u have to spend to get a car license in US? I wonder how it is like.
