awakening

What a historical event took place in our national election this year. My heart beat is not matching the nature should have in this wee hour. I'm really glad and satisfied with the result opposition took 5 major states selangor, kelantan, perak, kedah and penang. And BN lost it's 2/3 majority.

If you ask me to vote which side. The answer is obvious. But to pick DAP or PKR. Is a hard choice. I believe in Anwar tho. I read his blogs every often and watch his ceramah. I think he is a inspirational leader in opposition side. But many don't believe in him and skeptical of him simply because they heard from someone says he is cheater. Those were the propaganda of BN in this political dog-cat fight. If you heard of his speech. There's a new Malaysia we all desired.

From the moment I step into primary school, I've never feel or act like a Malaysian. I have to call myself Malaysian Chinese. And always felt like renting it or live by the Malay's mercy. Nothing different if I live in UK. That's why many students never return home for pursuing a possibility of their dream here. I probably do the same too.

I bet a fear of change has driven some of those who vote for BN. But I want change like many others. I fear not. I want change NOW. Hope so.

From the raise of hand in my church, there's only a few went to vote. Most of them are young. For an event that will greatly affecting us in our rights. We should learn to be a well informed citizen. If our arguement is wrong, at least, we always care.
