When I was growing up, I learn Cantonese. That was Ipoh. Is a fate for everyone lives there.
When I stay with my grandma, she spoke to me in Hakka. Is a mystery that I can understand.
When I went to primary school, I learn Lau Shi, Teacher and Cikgu.
Then I learn to speak Hakka when I stay in a house infested by Tawau Hakka yin. By this time, my grandma finally felt connected to her grandchild when I can reply her with decent Hakka.
After an embarrassing encounter with a hot chick from my church, I went on to improve my English. Haha. No la, is a joke. I was reading a motivational booklet from my house mates that time, the hunger drives me to read another thousands of them (since then). Installed thousand of new words in my brainie.
Tawau Hakka wa seems a bit weird to my Ipoh Tong Kun Hak. So I left them by joining a Hokkien gang. There, I was being introduced to a bunch of beautiful hokkien girls. To pick em up, I learn every words by heart. (Again) Noo lar, Haha, I was talking to my mum actually (she's a hokkien lang).
In divine appointment, Hokkien gang lead me to satu orang indon. Then dua orang indon, then 4, then 8, then 16, they multiply from no where. Suddenly, I found myself standing in an Indonesian stadium shouting "HIDUP INDONESIAAAaa!!" *Punching fist in the air*. And they are bugging me every SINGLE day, "Bro, bila nak cari pacar?" Argh. At least I felt they are.
Later on, my survival instinct lead me to a group of artsy people led by a few white skins always chanting "Yes mate, yes mate" and end with "Cheers mate, cheers mate". I also learn Monday called MOONday, hungry called HUUNgry, I sorted out it was Manchester's slang but I don't know. At least, not all of them look like David Beckham. Thanks to them, they help improved my diction.
All these years, I've been attending night class called Hollywood English Class co-host by TGV & GSC in teaching me "Yo man~ Yo man~!" "Whatsup~! Whatsup~!!" And introduce me Jessica Alba, we shouted "HOT! HOT!!" when she deep in cold water.
Looking back now, all these amazing people make the best languague teacher. It is much easier to learn when I armed with thick face and cover my mistakes with humours. I highly recommend it to everyone. Haha. Have a great day everybody!
